Ayoka: 19- und 20-jährige Wiener Gründer mit “Good Mood Drink”
Philip Lanz (19) und Sebastian Raber (20) aus Wien wollen mit Ayoka den weltweit ersten "Feel Good Drink" auf den Markt gebracht haben. Eine Kombination aus pflanzlichen Zusatzstoffen soll dabei die Serotonin- und Dopamin-Produktion im Körper anregen.
5-HTP ist eines der neuen “Zaubermittel” in der Nahrungsergänzung. Im menschlichen Körper wird der aus der afrikanischen Schwarzbohne gewonnene Stoff nahezu vollständig in den Neurotransmitter Serotonin, eines der “Glückshormone”, umgewandelt. Damit soll 5-HTP die Stimmung aufhellen und unter anderem bei Depressionen, Fettleibigkeit, Bulimie, Schlaflosigkeit und Migräne helfen. “Es gibt am Markt zahlreiche 5-HTP-Präparate. Für uns war aber klar: Es muss einen angenehmeren Weg geben, den Wirkstoff zu sich zu nehmen, als in Pillenform”, erklärt Philip Lanz, Co-Founder des Wiener Startups Ayoka.
Ayoka: “Feel Good Drink” für Glückshormon-Produktion
Gemeinsam mit seinem 20-jährigen Kollegen Sebastian Raber entwickelte der 19-jährige, frisch aus dem Sportgymnasium kommend, ein Getränk. Neben 5-HTP enthält Ayoka unter anderem auch Koffein, Vitamin D und die Aminosäuren L-Tyrosin und L-Tryptophan. Dadurch soll mit dem “Feel Good Drink” nicht nur die Serotonin-, sondern auch die Dopamin-Produktion im Körper angekurbelt werden. “Wir haben die Wirkstoffe gewählt, die wir dabei haben wollten, und dann gemeinsam mit einem etablierten Getränkehersteller den Drink entwickelt und behördlich genehmigen lassen”, erzählt Lanz.
Neben 5-HTP und Serotonin: Design als zentraler Faktor
Besonderes Augenmerk legen die Gründer auf Marketing und Design. Der Name Ayoka ist ein in Westafrika üblicher Frauen-Name aus der Yoruba-Sprache und bedeutet “die, die Freude bringt”. Für das Design der Dosen (siehe Bild) holte man sich den bosnischen Künstler Rikardo Druskic an Bord. Nicht nur darüber will sich das Startup in der Kreativ-Szene profilieren – man veranstaltet auch Events und Ausstellungen.
Erste Listungen
Im Endeffekt will man aber freilich auch die breite Masse überzeugen. Denn Ayoka sei für “alle, die einen mutigen, weltoffenen und kreativen Life-Style leben. Vom Hipster, über 5*Sterne Hotels bis zu unserem größten Fan, unserer Oma”, heißt es im Werbe-Folder des Startups. Erste Schritte dazu sind bereits getan. Erhältlich ist der “Good Mood Drink” in Wien unter anderem bereits im U3-Supermarkt in der Ubahn-Station Westbahnhof und bei Meinl am Graben sowie online bei shöpping.
