Startups from all over the world
On average, each of the selected startups have nine team members and are already funded with a total of over 23 million Euros. Nine startups originate from Germany, five from the UK, four from the Czech Republic, two from Poland as well as one each from Canada, France, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Rumania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and the United States. The remaining participants are startups incorporated in Austria.
To be accepted into the accelerator program, startups had to offer disruptive solutions in the vertical fields of media, banking, insurance, industry 4.0 or energy & infrastructure. An additional layer of focus was put on the technologies of Blockchain, IoT/Big Data, Mobility/AR/VR, Cyber Security and AI & Bot. While most of the participants work on innovation in the banking sector, AI & Bot solutions are dominating the technology field.
