Prime Air is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to manage data diversity and quality for developing Prime Airs perception system. You will work closely with a team of Scientists, Software Engineers as well as data collection and annotation teams to evaluate the performance of Machine Learning and Computer Vision models. Insisting on the highest standard is an important part of the day-to-day work as we focus on the accuracy of work, metrics and quality improvements.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- MS in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Math, Operational Research or a related quantitative field

- 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance

- Fluent with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python)

- Experience developing and evaluating data annotation and data quality metrics

- Experience building large scale data pipelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)

- Experience with image processing and 3D visualization software

- Experience leading a team of data analysts

- Ability to drive cross-team consensus
