Das Wiener Social Business Vollpension eröffnet nach einer erfolgreichen Crowdfunding-Kampagne einen neuen Mini-Standort für Buchteln und Co am Schwedenplatz in Wien.
Die Vollpension ist ein Wiener Social Business, das immer wieder mit innovativen Projekten bzw. Finanzierungsformen experimentiert und sich so auch durch die Gastrokrise bewegt hat. Das Generationencafé möchte mit seiner Arbeit der Altersarmut und Vereinsamung älterer Menschen entgegentreten. Nun hat es einen neuen Mini-Standort am Wiener Schwedenplatz eröffnet – finanziert wurde das Projekt durch eine Crowdfunding-Kampagne.
Die Gastrokrise macht innovativ
Bei der neuen und zugleich kleinsten Filiale der Vollpension handelt es sich um einen ehemaligen Bankomat-Standort. Von nun an sollen dort frische Buchteln verkauft werden. Die Idee eines Vollpension-Kiosks war ursprünglich als Übergangslösung in der Coronakrise gedacht, inzwischen bezeichnet es das Social Business als festen Bestandteil der Vollpension. Seit Jänner 2021 seien bereits 30.000 frische Buchteln verkauft worden.
Der neue Standort am Schwedenplatz wurde im November 2021 innerhalb weniger Tage durch eine Crowdfunding-Kampagne finanziert. Das Unternehmen betont daher die Treue seiner Community, die den Mini-Kiosk ermöglicht haben. Wiens Bürgermeister Michael Ludwig erschien ebenfalls spontan zur Eröffnung.
“Ich bin beeindruckt, mit welchem Engagement und Herzblut das Team der Vollpension mit immer neuen sozialunternehmerischen Ideen Wiens Stadtbild prägen und mit ihren kulinarischen Feinheiten nicht mehr wegzudenken sind“, so der Wiener Bürgermeister.
Hinter dem Sozialunternehmen stehen Julia Krenmayr, Moriz Piffl-Percevic und Hannah Lux, die mit ihrer Arbeit einen Raum für ein generationsübergreifendes Zusammenkommen bieten möchten. Die Hälfte der Vollpension-Mitarbeiter:innen besteht aus Senior:innen, die sich hier neben ihrer Pension einen Zuverdienst schaffen und zugleich soziale Kontakte pflegen können. Neben den Café-Standorten in Wien bezeichnet das Unternehmen seine Online-Backkurse als weltweit erste Online-Oma-Backschule, die im Frühjahr 2021 durch das internationale Pendant “Bake Against Poverty” ergänzt wurde.
