Das Wiener Logistik Scaleup Storebox geht mit dem digitalen Bauernmarkt markta eine Kooperation ein. Über das Microhub-Netzwerk von Storebox wird künftig ein Click & Collect-Service für markta ermöglicht.
Spätestens seit der Corona-Pandemie boomt auch in Österreich Click & Collect. 2020 haben 1,2 Millionen Menschen in Österreich über diese Art und Weise online Waren bestellt. Das ergab eine Studie der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz (JKU) in Kooperation mit der WKÖ. Den Trend rund um Click & Collect haben mittlerweile auch heimische Startups und Scaleups erkannt. Eines von ihnen ist das Wiener Logistik Scaleup Storebox, das bereits in der Vergangenheit in diesem Bereich eine Kooperation mit Ikea und DPD eingegangen ist.
Click & Collect: die Kooperation
Gemeinsam mit dem digitalen Bauernmarkt markta baut Storebox nun seine Click & Collect Kooperation weiter aus. Über die Microhubs des Logistik-Scaleups erhalten Kund:innen von markta einen 24/7 Zugriff auf ihre bestellte Waren. Durch die Kooperation zwischen Storebox und markta soll ein “dichteres Netzwerk aufgebaut und flexiblere Zustellmöglichkeiten geschaffen werden”. Das Netzwerk soll zudem “Stück für Stück erweitert werden”, wie es in einer Aussendung von Storebox am Dienstag heißt.

Julian Hödlmayr, der seit 2022 von Co-Geschäftsführer von markta ist, erläutert.: “Gemeinsam mit Storebox wollen wir die Zukunft besser gestalten. Mit Ihrem Einkauf unterstützen unsere Kund:innen regionale Kleinbäuer:innen. Jetzt können Sie dabei auch das Verkehrsaufkommen auf der letzten Meile reduzieren.”
markta wurde 2018 als Startup von Theresa Imre gegründet. Bei dem digitalen Bauernmarkt können Konsument:innen österreichweit Produkte von verschiedenen bäuerlichen Klein- und Familienbetrieben online bestellen. Im Zuge einer Series A-Finanzierungsrunde konnte das Unternehmen für das weitere Wachstum 2021 ein Millionen-Investment an Land ziehen. Damals beteiligten unter anderem Biogena Gründer und Eigentümer Albert Schmidbauer sowie der ehemalige karriere.at Co-Founder Klaus Hofbauer.
Das Wachstum von Storebox
Storebox ist nach eigenen Angaben “die größte, schnellst wachsende, innerstädtische Lager-und Logistiklösung Europas”. Allein im vergangenen Jahr konnte das Startup 56 neue Standorte in sechs europäischen Ländern eröffnen. Anfang Dezember 2022 gab das Startup die Eröffnung des 200. Standortes bekannt. 2021 sorgte das Scaleup mit einer Finanzierungsrunde in Höhe von 52 Millionen Euro für Aufsehen.

Ehrlich-Sommer explains how the program helped his team sharpen their vision and gain new perspectives: “Interacting with founders from different industries and countries gave us fresh perspectives and helped refine our business model. As engineers, we tend to communicate in technical language. Through the program, we learned to present our idea clearly and understandably.”

Redeem Solar Technologies uses light energy to enable chemical reactions, in order to produce hydrogen in an environmentally friendly way. The startup’s solutions are particularly relevant to the pharmaceutical and fine chemicals industries. Through the aws program, the team not only secured financial support but also made valuable connections in the Austrian startup scene.
Interdisciplinary and International Exchange
One of the most significant benefits of the aws First Incubator’s special international call is the interdisciplinary and international exchange.
