OÖ-Gründer:innen holen sich mit US-Startup Mangomint 13 Millionen US-Dollar
Das in Los Angeles ansässigen Startup Mangomint rund um die zwei Co-Gründer:innen Daniel Lang und Sandra Huber entwickelte eine SaaS-Plattform für Kosmetik- und Wellnesssalons. Mit einem 13 Millionen US-Dollar Investment soll nun die Expansion vorangetrieben werden – unter anderem auch in Österreich.
Im Rahmen einer Series-A-Finanzierungsrunde erhält das US-Startup Mangomint 13 Millionen US-Dollar frisches Kapital für das weitere Wachstum. Co-Gründer:innen des in Los Angeles ansässigen Startups sind zwei Oberösterreicher:innen, CEO Daniel Lang und Sandra Huber. Lead-Investor der Runde ist OpenView Venture Partners aus Boston, Co-Investoren sind die Bestandsinvestoren startup300 und weitere bestehende Business Angels.
Mit dem frischen Kapital soll unter anderem auch der Aufbau des Österreich-Tochterunternehmens von Mangomint mit Sitz in der factory300 in Linz sowie in Wien finanziert werden, wie es in einer Aussendung des Startups heißt. Das US-Startup möchte zudem in Österreich neue Kapazitäten für Softwareentwicklung, Customer Support und Sales aufbauen.
Mangomint-Plattform zählt 10.000 Salon- und Spa-Betreiber:innen
Mangomint bietet Kosmetik- und Wellnesssalon-Betreiberinnen eine Software-Suite, welche sämtliche Geschäftsprozesse und Kundenorganisation automatisiert und effizienter gestaltet. Laut eigenen Angaben verfolgt Mangomint das Ziel, eine Software bereitzustellen, die sich so nahtlos in die täglichen Aktivitäten von Salons und Spas einfügt. Aktuell werden bereits von über 10.000 Salon- und Spa-Betreiber:innen 200.000 Termine pro Monat mit Mangomint organisiert.

“Unser Ziel ist es, Mangomint zur globalen Standard-Software für Friseursalons, Nagelstudios, Day-Spas, medizinischen Spas, Massagestudios, Tattoo-Studios und dergleichen zu machen. Die Corona-Pandemie und der damit weiter verschärfte Arbeitskräftemangel im Wellness-Bereich hat unserem auch schon zuvor starken Wachstum einen zusätzlichen Boost beschert“, sagt Daniel Lang, Co-Founder und CEO von Mangomint.
