PART I | GO HONG KONG 2022 Hybrid: Sept. 19-23

Part I of the program offers a digital onboarding with flexible video masterclasses, individual IP coaching and 1:1 mentoring, as well as digital insight sessions. Also, all participants have the chance to connect in person at the kick-off event in Vienna on September 19^th, and to receive first market insights from our local partners in Hong Kong.

PART II | GO HONG KONG 2022 Hybrid: Oct. 10-14

Part II of GO HONG KONG 2022 offers the selected startups on-site* activities and events (ReThink Expo) in Hong Kong. Also, you will have 1:1 business meetings organized by AußenwirtschaftsCenter Hongkong and get the chance to connect with international partners (corporates, potential clients, business partners, etc.) at customized pitch and networking opportunities. For the phyiscal trip (if possible) to Hong Kong, GIN covers 90% of all expenses including flight and accommodation costs up to EUR 20,000.- per startup.

*IMPORTANT: This program is planned as a hybrid program with physical acitivities in Vienna, Austria. If travels to Hong Kong are possible without going into quarantine for longer than 1 week, part 2 of the hybrid program can take place on-site. If the travel restrictions remain with an obligatory quarantaine-stay of 7+ days, the program will take place digitally and the physical trip to Hong Kong/GBA can be made at a later point in time.

REQUIREMENTS

The Program Go Hong Kong 2022 is most suitable for startups meeting the following criteria:

Verticals: GreenTech and Sustainability Solutions (PropTech, Transport & Mobility, Energy & Utilities, Hospitality & Tourism, FoodTech, Green Finance)
Austrian mid- or later-stage startup (beyond PoC and seed stage)
Established in the last 7 years (no k.o. criterion)
Raised at least seed-stage investment
Unique product/solution
Working prototype/MVP
A proven business model with traction (clients, revenue)
Interest in connecting to relevant stakeholders (corporates, business partners)
Looking to develop further internationally with a focus on the Greater Bay Area/Asia

Das Münchner Raumfahrt-Startup deltaVision schließt eine Finanzierungsrunde über 10,2 Millionen Euro ab. Mit dem Kapital soll die Fertigung von Fluidsystemen skaliert werden.

Das 2022 gegründete Münchner Unternehmen deltaVision hat in seiner ersten Finanzierungsrunde 10,2 Millionen Euro eingesammelt. Wie das Startup mitteilt, wird die Runde von KT Ventures und Valemount Capital angeführt. Zudem beteiligen sich Futury Capital sowie weitere private Investor:innen über ein Investitionsvehikel.

Skalierung im Münchner Werk

Nach eigenen Angaben wirtschaftet deltaVision seit der Gründung profitabel und beschäftigt mittlerweile 125 Mitarbeitende in einem ehemaligen Siemens-Werk in der Münchner Innenstadt. Das frische Kapital soll vor allem in den Kapazitätsausbau fließen, um die Produktion von Ventilen und Antriebskomponenten auf 5.000 Einheiten pro Jahr zu steigern. Parallel dazu will das Unternehmen Technologien für das orbitale Betanken von Raumfahrzeugen weiterentwickeln.

„Wir setzen auf ein offenes und interoperables Ökosystem für In-Orbit-Services, statt auf ein Modell, bei dem am Ende ein einzelner Anbieter den gesamten Markt beherrscht.“, wird CEO und Mitgründer Alex Plebuch in einer Mitteilung des Unternehmens zitiert. Ein offenes Ökosystem vergrößere den Gesamtmarkt erheblich, wovon alle Akteure profitierten, heißt es weiters.

Expansion nach Frankreich und in die USA

Neben der Kapazitätserweiterung in Deutschland plant das Startup den Aufbau von Forschung und Produktion in Frankreich über eine neu gegründete Tochtergesellschaft. Kurzfristig soll zudem eine eigene Ventilproduktion in den USA entstehen, um den dortigen Markt direkt zu bedienen.

Das Unternehmen beliefert laut eigenen Angaben mehr als 60 Kund:innen weltweit, darunter die Europäische Weltraumorganisation (ESA) für das Mondlander-Projekt „Argonaut“. Johannes Pichler von Lead-Investor KT Ventures begründet den Einstieg wie folgt: „Wir investieren nicht in ein Versprechen, sondern in ein profitables Geschäftsmodell mit enormem Rückenwind und internationalen Wachstumschancen.“
