+++ Important information +++ The Global Incubator Network (GIN) is closely monitoring the situation and development regarding COVID-19 and will keep founders up to date about any necessary changes in the program scheduled for September 2020. The Global Incubator Network (GIN) is looking for Austrian later-stage startups from all verticals for our next goAsia program in South Korea. Together with AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA GIN supports founders in their internationalization to the world’s most innovative startups hubs.

goSeoul 2020 is a unique 1-week acceleration program for Austrian startups that wants to cross borders and aim to internationalize to Asia, especially to South Korea. The program allows first insights into the Korean market and connects the startups with relevant stakeholders and experts of the local startup community.

Also, GIN refunds 80% of all expenses including travel and accommodation costs up to max. € 7,000 per startup.

goSeoul 2020 | Hard Facts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • OPEN to all Verticals
  • Austrian later-stage startup (beyond PoC and seed-stage)
  • established in the last 7 years
  • raised at least seed-stage investment
  • unique product/solution & working prototype / MVP
  • a proven business model with traction (clients, revenue)
  • interest in connecting to relevant stakeholders (investors, corporates)
  • looking to develop further internationally with a focus on South Korea/Asia

APPLICATION & SELECTION PROCESS

Due to the current situation regarding COVID-19, the program scheduled for September might be conducted online. In this case, all selected startups will have valuable workshops and seminars based in Vienna as well as 1:1 online meetings with relevant stakeholders (investors/corporates based in South Korea). Currently GIN is in close contact with its international partners and it will keep founders up to date about any necessary changes in the goSeoul 2020 program.

    Pre-selection

    The GIN-Team informs all applicants whether or not they are selected for the Online Pitch Event via e-mail. The pre-selected startups will receive an e-mail with all log-on details.

    Online Pitch Event

    May 26, 2020 | 9.00 am – 11.00 am (CET)

    The pre-selected startups have 3 minutes to pitch in English online followed by a short Q&A session by the jury of national an international experts. The Online Pitch will take place on the 26th of May 2020 from 9.00 am to 11.00 am. (Please block this time in your calendar preliminary!)

  • STEP 4

    Final Decision – Congratulations!

    within a week after the Oline Pitch Event

    After the Online Pitch the jury will select the goSeoul 2020 finalists. The selected startups for goSeoul 2020 will receive an e-mail with next steps from the GIN-Team latest by the end of May!

KI-Agenten sollen in Unternehmen und Organisationen zunehmend komplexe Aufgaben übernehmen – etwa die Analyse von Hunderttausenden Seiten interner Berichte, Dokumente und Richtlinien. Bisherige Retrieval-Systeme stoßen dabei jedoch an technische und ökonomische Grenzen, meint man beim Wiener Startup AI Baseline. Ein KI-Agent beginne bei aktuellen Ansätzen nämlich für jede neue Frage eine eigenständige Suche, wodurch dieselben Dokumente immer wieder neu verarbeitet werden müssten. Das führe zu einem hohen Verbrauch an kostenpflichtigen Modell-Tokens, Rechenleistung und Zeit. Bei anspruchsvollen Fragen könne die Beantwortung bis zu 40 Minuten dauern, während die zugrunde liegenden Textfragmente oft nicht mehr bis zur Originalquelle zurückverfolgt werden können.

„Knowledge Space“ für mehr Effizienz und Transparenz

Um dieses Zusammenspiel aus Effizienz- und Transparenzproblemen zu lösen, hat das von CEO Xenia Galkina und CTO Alexander Czech gegründete Unternehmen eine neue Retrieval-Architektur entwickelt. Das System bildet Informationen in einer logisch verknüpften Ebene ab, wodurch die Herkunft der Daten über die Struktur des sogenannten „Knowledge Space“ erhalten bleibt. Da die aufwendige Strukturierung einmalig bei der Datenaufnahme erfolgt, soll der anschließende Rechercheprozess auch bei großen Datenmengen wirtschaftlich und nachvollziehbar bleiben. Das Versprechen des Startups: Organisationen müssen bei KI-Anfragen nicht mehr zwischen Geschwindigkeit, Kosten und Qualität wählen.

Überzeugende Benchmark-Vergleiche

Eigenen Benchmark-Tests zufolge soll der „Research Mode“ von AI Baseline im Vergleich zu herkömmlichem agentischen RAG eine um 44 Prozent höhere Antwortqualität liefern, bis zu 22-mal schneller arbeiten und 72 Prozent weniger Input-Tokens verbrauchen. Bei maximaler Performance erreicht das System laut Unternehmensangaben mehr als die doppelte Antwortqualität bei nahezu neunfacher Geschwindigkeit und rund 15 Prozent geringeren Kosten.

20.000 GPU-Stunden auf Supercomputer Leonardo im AI:AT Hub

Das im Dezember 2025 gegründete bzw. im Hub aufgenommene Startup wird von NVIDIA Inception sowie AWS unterstützt und ist Mitglied im AI:AT Coworking Hub der AI Factory Austria. Für die Entwicklung der ersten Produktversion nutzte das bootstrappende Team unter anderem 20.000 GPU-Stunden auf dem europäischen Supercomputer Leonardo, die über die AI Factory Austria und EuroHPC bereitgestellt wurden. „Die Arbeit im AI:AT Hub war für uns ein echter Booster“, heißt es von CEO Xenia Galkina. Der Zugang zu Hochleistungsinfrastruktur habe es erst möglich gemacht, die Technologie in dieser Größenordnung umzusetzen. CTO Alexander Czech verweist zudem auf den Wert des Netzwerks: „Ebenso wertvoll ist die Community: Der Austausch mit anderen Gründern […] und der Zugang zu Experten […] haben uns geholfen, über die Technologie selbst hinauszudenken“.

Die Lösung richtet sich laut AI Baseline vor allem an technische Teams in regulierten und datenintensiven Branchen wie Life Sciences, Healthcare, Recht, Finanzforschung und dem öffentlichen Sektor. Während der aktuellen Beta-Phase kann die Architektur über eine API oder als Claude Skill getestet werden. Zudem sucht das Unternehmen derzeit Design-Partner für seine Ingestion Engine.
