Die zum Analysten-Multi Gartner Inc. gehörende softwareadvice.com listet das Grazer Videokonferenz-Tool eyeson in einer Reihe mit Google Meet, Skype und TeamViewer.
Das Grazer Unternehmen eyeson hat es sich zum Ziel gemacht, Video Conferencing zu revolutionieren. Konkret setzt eyeson auf eine patentierte Echtzeit-Kommunikationstechnik mit Single-Stream-Technologie (SST), die unabhängig von der Größe der Teams eine hohe Video- und Audioqualität bandbreitenoptimiert gewährleistet. Bis zu Hundert Teilnehmer kann ein Stream dadurch haben. Auch können damit Datenstreams in Videokonferenzen eingebunden werden. Eyeson ist derzeit bereits in zahlreiche Tools intergriert. Darunter sind etwa Slack, Dropbox, Trello, Zendesk, Jira und Hipchat. Das Unternehmen erhielt vergangenes Jahr die Auszeichnung “Cool Vendor 2017” von der Gartner Group.
Bei den Nutzern kommt der Service scheinbar gut an. In einem von der zum Gartner-Konzern gehörenden Plattform Software Advice veröffentlichten Ranking, das auf Customer Reviews basiert, schaffte es das Tool nun unter die Top 5. Dort steht es neben Größen wie Google Meet, Skype for Business und TeamViewer. Das Ranking basiert auf Bewertungen, die von Usern abgegeben wurden. Dabei berücksichtigte Software Advice auch die Anzahl an abgegebenen Bewertungen und das Alter dieser Bewertungen. Die Anzahl ist bei Eyeson zwar noch recht gering. Das wurde in der Berechnung aber durch die durchwegs guten Ratings und deren Aktualität wettgemacht. Drei Einzelwertungen wurden dabei gemacht: “overall performance”, “ease of use”, und “customer support”. In allen drei erreichte Eyeson die Top 5.
Hauser, Gartner, Altrichter, eQventure, Tecnet und aws an Bord
Dass das Tool des 2010 gegründeten Grazer Unternehmens (vormals VisoCon, jetzt eyeson GmbH) Potenzial hat, haben auch eine Reihe bekannter Investoren erkannt. An Bord sind etwa Hermann Hauser, Herbert Gartner, der Grazer Investorenverband eQventure (Hauser und Gartner sind dabei, im Firmenbuch aber gesondert als Teilhaber gelistet), der niederösterreichische VC Tecnet, Christian Pegritz, Michael Altrichter und der aws Gründerfonds. Die Gründer, Andreas Kröpfl und Michael Wolfgang halten gemeinsam noch knapp über 20 Prozent des Unternehmens.
