Anfang August 2019 berichtete brutkasten über den Börsengang des 2005 in Linz gegründeten IT-Unternehmens Dynatrace. Mit einer Bewertung von 6,7 Milliarden US-Dollar schloss das Scaleup damals den ersten Börsentag ab. Aktuell ist es mit rund 12,7 Milliarden US-Dollar bald doppelt so viel wert. Und auch sonst ging es beim Unternehmen, das rund ein Viertel seiner globalen Belegschaft an mehreren Standorten in Österreich hat, in der Zeit mitunter steil bergauf. Das zeigte man nun mit anlässlich des Börsenjubiläums präsentierten Zahlen.

Beim Umsatz machte Dynatrace, das nach eigenen Angaben Weltmarktführer bei Observability und Security ist, demnach in den fünf Jahren einen Sprung von 545,8 Millionen US-Dollar (31. März 2020) auf 1,43 Milliarden US-Dollar. Die globale Mitarbeiter:innen-Anzahl stieg seit dem IPO von rund 2.200 auf mehr als 4.700. In Österreich hat sich die Anzahl der Mitarbeiter:innen in der Zeit sogar auf über 1.200 fast verdreifacht. Aktuell wird übrigens in Linz und Wien ausgebaut und in Graz neu gebaut. Und mittlerweile zähle man weltweit mehr als 4.000 Kund:innen, heißt es vom Scaleup.

Neben CEO Rick McConnell steht auch Mitgründer Bernd Greifeneder bei Dynatrace als CTO nach wie vor ganz oben. Zum fünfjährigen IPO-Jubiläum sagt er: “Seit unserem Börsengang im Jahr 2019 haben wir uns zu einem branchenführenden Unternehmen für end-to-end Observability und -Sicherheit entwickelt, angetrieben durch unser Engagement, unseren Kunden zu helfen, Veränderungen zu antizipieren und zu bewältigen.”
Dynatrace-Kunden würden sich heute mit neuen Herausforderungen konfrontiert sehen, da sie eine fehlerfreie und sichere Softwarebereitstellung gewährleisten und gleichzeitig versuchen müssten, aussagekräftige Erkenntnisse aus noch nie dagewesenen Datenmengen zu gewinnen. “Wir sind entschlossen, eine Plattform bereitzustellen, die sich durch kausale, generative und prädiktive KI-gestützte Observability, Analyse und Automatisierung auszeichnet, damit unsere Kunden in dieser neuen Welle des Wandels erfolgreich sein können”, so Greifeneder.
