Das Food-Tech Neoh hat im Dezember des Vorjahres sein Innovations-Team um zwei Expertinnen erweitert. Rubina Rumler und Magdalena Wagner sollten im Team von Head of Innovation Gabriela Schagerl die Entwicklung der eigenen Zuckerersatzformel ENSO sowie neuer Produkte vorantreiben. Bereits zwei Monate davor hatte das Wiener Startup mit seinem Süßungsmittel Waffeln im Kleinformat auf den Markt gebracht. Nun wartet man mit einer Kooperation und einer weiteren Neuigkeit auf: dem veganen Donut ohne Palmöl.

Rechtzeitig zum Beginn der Fastenzeit präsentieren das österreichische Traditionsunternehmen Ankerbrot und Neoh einen veganen Donut ohne Zuckerzusatz. Die Kooperation ist die erste Zusammenarbeit des Unternehmens mit einem Bäckereifilialisten.

“Man würde beim ersten Bissen nicht vermuten, dass es sich um bewusstes Naschen ohne zugesetzten Zucker handelt. Der köstliche Donut besticht mit einer cremigen Haselnussfüllung, umhüllt von einer knackigen Kakaohülle mit gerösteten Haselnüssen”, sagt Schagerl, zum neuen Produkt. “Durch den Ersatz von Zucker mit der eigens von Neoh entwickelten Zuckerersatzformel enthält der Donut wichtige pflanzliche Ballaststoffe und hat kaum Auswirkungen auf den Blutzuckerspiegel.”
Neuer Vertriebskanal
Adel Hafizovic, Co-Gründer und CSO von Neoh, sieht in dieser Zusammenarbeit eine große Chance für die Schokoriegel-Hersteller: “Der Donut ist unsere erste Kooperation mit einem Bäckereifilialisten und öffnet für uns einen sehr interessanten, neuen Vertriebskanal mit viel Potenzial. Ich bin überzeugt, dass dies ein gelungenes Startprojekt für eine langfristige Zusammenarbeit sein wird”, sagt er.

Auch Tina Schrettner, Marketingleitung Ankerbrot, spricht den neuen Weg an: “Als größter Bäckereifilialist ist es unser Anspruch, auf die Wünsche unserer Kund:innen optimal einzugehen. Jetzt erschließen wir einen ganz neuen Bereich, denn süße Mehlspeisen und zuckerreduziert müssen keine Gegensätze sein. Wir waren die erste große Bäckerei mit einem vielfältigen veganen Angebot. Nun sind wir gemeinsam mit Neoh wieder Vorreiter und gehen noch einen Schritt weiter: vegan und ohne Zusatz von Zucker. Damit bieten wir mit dem neuen Donut mit Haselnusscreme eine weitere Alternative im Sinne von bewusster Ernährung und Nachhaltigkeit.”
